Challenge: Critical business risk resulting from the entire infrastructure being dependent on a single employee, lack of 24/7 monitoring, and system instability during key ticket sales events.

 

Solution: Taking full responsibility for the infrastructure in a Managed Services model following an audit, implementation of key recommendations (including migration to Kubernetes), and launching 24/7 monitoring.

The dynamic growth of Biletyna and the increasing popularity of the platform created a natural need for the evolution of its technological infrastructure. Until recently, key knowledge and responsibility for the infrastructure were concentrated within a small, highly specialized team. This model, typical for many growing companies, had reached its scalability limits.

To secure future operations and enable further expansion, we jointly identified the following areas for reinforcement:

Securing Business Continuity: Every major sales event generated significant load. The goal was to implement scaling and monitoring standards so that marketing success would always translate into technical stability and positive customer experiences.

Diversification of Knowledge and Competence: The concentration of expert knowledge, while effective at an earlier stage, began to impact the pace of development. It was necessary to create processes that facilitate information sharing and make platform development independent of individual specialists.

Optimization and Process Standardization: As the scale of operations grew, there was a need to transition from a flexible, reactive operating model to a more structured approach based on standardization and proactive management.

Recommendations and Prioritization: Based on post-audit conclusions, we prepared and discussed an action plan with the client, focusing first on the most critical areas.

Implementation and 24/7 Monitoring: After implementing key improvements, we immediately covered the system with constant monitoring, ensuring proactive supervision of its stability.

Taking Full Responsibility: By gradually implementing further improvements, such as migration to Kubernetes or the implementation of Cloudflare Waiting Room, we took full responsibility for the development and maintenance of the client’s infrastructure.

Our actions allowed for a transition from a reactive model to a fully proactive approach based on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The implementation of 24/7 monitoring, process standardization, and migration to scalable technologies like Kubernetes brought immediate results.
