Challenges

Business Challenge

The company’s dynamic international growth outpaced its cybersecurity capabilities. There was a lack of a coherent security strategy and a plan for implementing the key requirements of the NIS2 directive (UoKSC), which generated business and operational risks, including management liability.

Securing dynamic growth:

The company’s rapid international expansion created a natural need for a proportional adjustment of cybersecurity structures to the new scale of operations.

Unifying the security strategy:

As the organization grew, it became necessary to systematize processes and smoothly transition from ad-hoc actions to a coherent, proactive strategy.

Regulatory readiness (NIS2):

The changing legal environment required the development of a clear plan for adapting to the EU NIS2 directive, enabling the company to maintain the highest market standards.

Minimizing business risk:

The complexity of operational processes required the implementation of appropriate protective mechanisms that effectively mitigate risk and provide legal and organizational comfort to the management board.

Working with Tenesys brought a new quality to Alsendo’s approach to cybersecurity. Instead of generic documents, we received a system tailored to our specific needs and international structure, along with a clear action plan. We finally feel that security is being managed strategically, which allows us to focus on further business growth.

Our role

Strategic Adaptation of Security to Scale
and New Regulations

Alsendo’s dynamic growth created a natural need for an evolution in its cybersecurity approach. The internal IT team’s previously effective operational activities required supplementation with strategic oversight and a coherent, long-term plan. This need was reinforced by two key factors:

Integrating security with business
As the organization grew, there was a need for a holistic view of security, combining technological aspects with business processes to ensure full operational stability and business continuity.

Adapting to the NIS2 directive
As a critical operator, Alsendo faced the task of adapting its processes to stringent European regulations. The key challenge was to do this coherently, avoiding the creation of separate security systems for each company and building a single, centrally managed standard, ready for a NIS2 audit.

An initial market analysis and collaboration with a consulting firm allowed Alsendo to precisely define its expectations. This experience showed that generic documentation was insufficient. The company needed a partner who would not only provide theory but, above all, help implement practical solutions, from comprehensive risk assessment to full-scale implementation.

No more theory. Time for a practical Partnership

Alsendo was looking for a partner who would move from theory to practice. Tenesys was chosen because our approach fundamentally differed from the client’s previous experiences. Instead of providing ready-made templates, we offered a partnership based on a deep understanding of their business. Alsendo needed a guide who would not only show the way but walk it with them, creating tailor-made solutions.

A Plan to Regain Control: Four Steps to Strategic Security

To organize existing activities and build solid and lasting security foundations, we proposed a clear, four-stage transformation plan:

Our plan:

  • Step 1: In-depth Analysis: We started with a Gap Analysis and a series of workshops to understand the DNA of the Alsendo organization, its subsidiaries, processes, and challenges.
  • Step 2: Building Foundations (ISMS): We created an Information Security Management System – practical, understandable, and fully adapted to the group’s international structure.
  • Step 3: Setting Direction: We developed a strategic roadmap and a risk management plan that transformed chaotic actions into a logical, planned implementation process.
  • Step 4: Continuous Support (CISO as a Service): We provided constant access to a dedicated expert, our CISO, who took over the coordination of security activities, incident analysis, and strategic reporting to the management board.

covering the capital group with a unified standard

We replaced dispersed activities with a single, coherent Information Security Management System (ISMS), integrating all security processes across all Alsendo companies.

readiness for NIS2 directive compliance audit

We guided the organization from initial gap analysis to full adaptation, ensuring compliance with the stringent requirements of new European regulations.

transition from reactive to strategic actions

We completely changed the paradigm of security management. Instead of ad-hoc actions, we implemented a proactive plan, supervised by an expert in the CISO as a Service model.

Transformation: Building a System and Tangible Benefits

The implementation of the plan allowed for a smooth transition from reactive actions to systematic and proactive security management. The deployment of a personalized Information Security Management System (ISMS) streamlined and integrated internal processes, creating a solid foundation for achieving NIS2 directive compliance. A clearly defined roadmap provided the Alsendo team with a clear direction for action, and Tenesys’s continuous expert support strengthened their competencies and confidence in decision-making. Security has become a well-managed and predictable area of the company’s operations.

Security as Business Support

For Alsendo, cybersecurity is an integral part of its business strategy. This approach, based on solid foundations, enables the secure achievement of goals and further expansion. The company continuously refines its defense mechanisms, which is a natural element of its dynamic growth and commitment to business continuity.
