Biletyna’s dynamic growth and the platform’s increasing popularity created a natural need for technological infrastructure evolution. Key knowledge and responsibility for the infrastructure were previously concentrated within a small, highly specialized team. This model, typical for many growing companies, reached its scalability limits. To secure future operations and enable further expansion, we identified four main challenges:

Scaling IT Operational Back-end

Concentrating responsibility for the entire infrastructure within too small a group created a barrier to the company’s secure development. It was necessary to expand competencies and support to eliminate operational bottlenecks.

Ensuring Business Continuity During Critical Moments

Every major sales event generated significant platform load, leading to instability. The goal became to implement 24/7 scaling and monitoring standards to prevent failures.

Diversification of Knowledge and Competencies

The concentration of expert knowledge began to impact the pace of development. New processes were needed to facilitate information sharing, systematize documentation, and make the platform independent of individual specialists.

Step 4: Full responsibility takeover: Gradually implementing further improvements, such as migration to Kubernetes and the deployment of Cloudflare Waiting Room, we took full responsibility for the development and operation of the client’s infrastructure.
